Private Yoga

We believe Yoga can be customized to meet you, exactly as you are! You don’t need to have yoga clothes or even a yoga mat. All you need is a desire to pursue peace and well-being.

Our experienced private yoga teachers and yoga therapists will listen to your interests and goals, and will work with you to develop all aspects of a yoga practice in a way that supports YOU.

We desire to support you to create a home practice (sadhana) and/or refine your yoga practice. While we would love to have you come to Beloved Yoga everyday, our deepest desire is that we support you to access the tools of yoga so that you can cultivate a home practice (sadhana) where you cultivate your peace, balanced mind and optimal well-being.

Whether you experience imbalances or challenges in the body, breath, or meditation, or simply want to explore your practice to develop greater strength and ease, we are experienced in integrating all aspects of yoga to the interests and needs of each student. 

Beloved private yoga sessions are available for practitioners who feel best served in a one-on-one setting with a qualified teacher. All Befriending Yoga Therapy teachers are experienced yoga teachers with advanced training and work therapeutically and supportively with each private student.  

Privates can be used to:
- Introduce you to Yoga so you may begin your journey with Yoga
- Introduce meditation & breath work to your practice
- Advance your practice by learning how to approach any asana, from child’s pose to handstands
- Develop a self-guided home practice

We work with a range of imbalances and diagnoses, such as:
- Stress, anxiety, & depression
- Chronic or periodic back discomfort or pain
- Postural strengthening
- Tightness in the body
- Spinal and structural imbalances
- Recovery from accidents, surgery, or physical trauma
- Addiction recovery
- Cancer
- Chronic disease & pain management

Each private yoga session is different, as the needs and goals of each practitioner varies.

We offer private sessions online or in-person, and have teachers across the United States and Europe who can offer privates in English, French, Spanish, Farsi, Arabic and Japanese.

Private sessions last for one hour. During your session, your teacher will work with you to create a customized practice consisting of yoga tools that can be helpful in your personal journey towards well-being. At the end of each session, you will be given a few tools to practice at home. These tools can be built upon in your next private. We will also help you select appropriate classes you may want to consider as your journey continues.

Consider our Intro to Privates package (three one-hour individual or couples sessions), or a five session package. We will work to find ways to integrate breathwork, meditation and appropriate movement practices to support your optimal care of your whole self!
