Vasanthi Srinivasan, M.Ed., C-IAYT, RYT500, RPYT, RCYT, YACEP
Vasanthi Srinivasan is a certified yoga therapist through International Association of Yoga Therapists and 500hr Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. As an experienced teacher of yoga for 16 years, Vasanthi is dedicated to sharing the tools of yoga for health and well-being with underserved communities by making yoga accessible, adaptable, and affordable to people of all ages and abilities. She is a skilled yoga therapist with the ability to create safe, inclusive classes where everyone can participate and personalize the yoga practice to meet their needs. Vasanthi utilizes flexibility and creativity to weave yoga into an art of teaching. Her experience has enabled her to specialize in yoga for prenatal, babies, children, teens, seniors and individuals with special needs.
Vasanthi is a certified Yoga Teacher, Yoga Therapist, and a lead Yoga Teacher Trainer in Children’s and Prenatal Yoga Certification Programs. Her dedication to classical training led her to complete 200 hours at Authentic Yoga with Neel Kulkarni, 200-hour Life of a Yogi with Sri Dharma Mittra and 300-hour at Beloved Yoga with Maryam Ovissi and Jafar Alexander. She studied Yoga for Special Child with Sonia Sumar, Yoga Ed with Leah Kalish, and Radiant Child Yoga with Shakta Kaur Khalsa.
She holds an M. Ed. from George Mason University was a Special Education and Elementary Education Teacher prior to her journey into yoga. As a Continuing Education Provider, Vasanthi offers Professional Development and Continuing Education programs to classroom teachers, staff, and administrators on understanding the neuroscience of learning through the body and mind system. She is currently developing Continuing Education Programs online to empower and support teachers in Children’s & Prenatal Yoga.
She has served as both a Studio Manager, Director & Lead Trainer of Prenatal & Children’s Yoga at Beloved Yoga. As an experienced yoga studio owner, Vasanthi has a keen ability to understand the entrepreneurial struggles business owners, yoga teachers and therapists often face. She is passionate about supporting yoga professionals navigate the demands of managing and building a career as a yoga therapist while preserving the integrity of yoga.
Her passions include cooking, gardening, and nature. She shares her love of cooking and the roots of traditional Indian cuisine through cooking classes designed to demystify the use of spices and teach others how to create diverse flavors to satisfy the body, mind, and soul.
