Sharra Cielo believes yoga is a journey of remembering and reconnecting with the awe-inspiring potential that has been within us all along. The simplicity of the yoga practice invites space to refine the lenses through which we view life, in order to begin to see with more clarity.
Sharra, E-RYT 500, began her journey of yoga while searching for a way of living that supported being present and grounded. She found inspiration during her 200 hour training at LifePower Yoga with her teacher Flissy Saucier by learning to embrace her inner freedom. Sharra continued to dive deeply into the practice and philosophy during her 300 hour training from Beloved Yoga under her influential teachers Maryam Ovissi, Jafar Alexander, and Heather Hagaman. Throughout her trainings, she has received certifications and developed a passion for the practices and applications of Yin, Contemplative, Trauma Informed, Philosophy and Vinyasa. Sharra is continually furthering her love and knowledge of yoga through personal practice, studies, trainings, and workshops.
Sharra has found, through the practice of yoga, one can find the time and space to cultivate a deeper relationship with the mind, body, and spirit. During class, Sharra supports a safe environment through which she fosters a sense of playful curiosity, encouraging practitioners to become inquisitive about their practice by listening to the body’s innate intelligence and inquiring within. She understands that each body is as unique as the person inside and believes that the versatile and dynamic practice of yoga can accommodate anyone, anywhere, in any situation.
Off the mat, Sharra spends time with her family, including her 2 energetic daughters. She loves to read mysteries and philosophical texts, write, and play musical instruments. Sharra spent most of her life moving around the world, so it is important to her to take in this time of being in one place to simply enjoy life.
