I have a Bachelor's degree in psychology and a Master's in social work. After working in the schools for 10 years I started my own family and practicing yoga. I'm now a Registered Yoga Teacher with 500 hours of training and certifications in Trauma sensitive yoga, Yin yoga and Laughter yoga.
My primary influences in yoga are Krishnamacharya's teachings as shared through the wisdom of Maryam Ovissa, and Jafar Alexander. I've also practiced with Sunny Ho as she shared her life wisdom and learning from Dharma Mitra.
I love sharing yoga with children and seniors. I truly enjoy sharing with anyone who is interested in learning. I've experienced and witness how the practice of yoga can help people find their own inner peace and stability. By sharing the tools of yoga I want to empower people to create healthy lives filled with contentment and joy.
In addition to enjoying time with my teenage daughters and husband, I love taking walks, meeting people, learning about different cultures, playing games, reading, and traveling whenever possible.
