As a music teacher, theatre artist, singer/songwriter, day dreamer, acro enthusiast and coffee lover, Melissa Christopher Green works to build and strengthen communities through the arts. Soon after discovering her passion for yoga, she pursued her 200 RYT training through Life Power Yoga and then went on to complete her RYT 500 in 2015 studying with Jonny Kest, Jane James and Jason Hulshof at the Center For Yoga in Birmingham, MI. In addition to teaching classes in the styles of Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Yin, Melissa has taught paddle board yoga and kids yoga, and has led numerous teacher training workshops and retreats.
Melissa integrates the power of music and movement to transform and heal the mind, body and spirit. Her classes are known for being challenging, yet her teaching reflects an intuitive understanding of her students’ potential to transform and heal. With her bright spirit and natural monkey-bar-swinging energy, students often find themselves singing, crying, laughing, and dancing on their path to self discovery and awareness.
Cheering her students on toward greater self-understanding, Melissa is often heard inviting them to, "Let yourselves be new!"
